Integrative Medicine in Longmont, Colorado

SABA Health Network is redefining modern healthcare by uniting integrative principles with evidence-based medicine. Instead of treating symptoms in isolation, SABA practitioners take the time to understand each patient’s full story — exploring how lifestyle, environment, nutrition, and genetics shape long-term health.

Instead of asking, “What medication matches this diagnosis?” we ask: What systems are out of balance? What stressors are overwhelming the body? What does this individual uniquely need to heal?

The result is care that is proactive, personalized, and designed for lasting change. Not temporary relief. This is true root-cause medicine.

Our Services

Chronic Conditions That Respond Well to Functional Medicine

Functional medicine is especially effective for chronic conditions where multiple systems are involved. Rather than chasing symptoms, we identify the underlying imbalances driving disease. Below are six common chronic conditions we frequently support at SABA Health Network. But this list isn’t comprehensive. Schedule a call to discuss your unique situation. We can help!

1. Autoimmune Conditions

Autoimmune disorders occur when the immune system becomes dysregulated and begins attacking healthy tissue. Conditions like Hashimoto’s, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriasis, and inflammatory bowel disease often involve gut dysfunction, nutrient deficiencies, chronic inflammation, infections, and environmental triggers.
Functional medicine focuses on calming immune overactivation, repairing gut integrity, reducing inflammatory burden, and identifying triggers that keep the immune system stuck in attack mode.

2. Hormone Imbalances

Hormones act as messengers throughout the body, influencing mood, metabolism, sleep, energy, weight, and reproductive health. When hormones fall out of balance—whether during perimenopause, menopause, andropause, or due to stress—symptoms can ripple across multiple systems.

Rather than isolating one hormone, functional medicine evaluates how estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, cortisol, insulin, and thyroid hormones interact. Care plans may include nutrition, lifestyle support, targeted supplementation, and individualized hormone strategies when appropriate. We also specialize in menopause and perimenopause.

3. Digestive and Gut Disorders

The gut plays a central role in immunity, inflammation, mental health, and nutrient absorption. Chronic bloating, reflux, constipation, diarrhea, food sensitivities, SIBO, and leaky gut are often signs of deeper dysfunction.

Functional medicine addresses gut health by restoring microbiome balance, improving digestion, reducing inflammation, and identifying dietary or environmental contributors that disrupt gut integrity

4. Chronic Fatigue and Low Energy

Persistent fatigue is not simply a lack of willpower—it is often a signal that the body’s systems are under strain. Mitochondrial dysfunction, nutrient depletion, hormone imbalance, chronic stress, infections, and inflammation can all contribute.

Functional care investigates why energy production is impaired and supports the body in restoring sustainable vitality rather than relying on stimulants or temporary fixes.

5. Thyroid Disorders

Thyroid health is influenced by far more than TSH alone. Autoimmunity, nutrient deficiencies, gut health, stress, and inflammation all affect how thyroid hormones are produced, converted, and used by cells.

As a functional medicine clinic in Longmont, we go beyond standard thyroid labs to understand the full picture—supporting not just the thyroid gland, but the systems that regulate it.

6. Chronic Pain and Inflammation

Chronic pain is often the result of unresolved inflammation, immune dysfunction, nervous system imbalance, or metabolic stress. When pain becomes a diagnosis instead of a signal, true healing is delayed.
Functional medicine looks at pain through a systems-based lens, helping reduce inflammation, support tissue repair, and address the root drivers that keep pain cycles active.

Unlock Your Body’s Innate Ability to Heal

One of the foundational principles of functional medicine—and of SABA Health Network—is the understanding that the body is not broken. It is adaptive, intelligent, and constantly working toward balance.

Symptoms are not the enemy; they are messages.

When the body is overwhelmed by stress, toxins, poor nutrition, disrupted sleep, or unresolved trauma, it adapts in ways that may produce symptoms. True healing happens when we remove obstacles and provide the right support for the body to do what it is designed to do.

At our functional medicine clinic in Longmont, we focus on restoring communication between systems, improving resilience, and creating an internal environment where healing is possible. This approach fosters long-term health rather than dependency on ongoing symptom management.

Dr Conzo

Meet Dr. Conzo, D.C. CFMP, Founder of SABA Health Network

Dr. Joshua Conzo has been dedicated to the field of functional medicine since earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2012. His commitment to root-cause care was shaped by personal and family experiences with autoimmune conditions, which revealed the shortcomings of conventional symptom-focused treatment and inspired him to pursue a more comprehensive path to healing.

Dr. Conzo’s areas of clinical interest include autoimmune disorders, endocrinology, functional neurology, fertility, pediatrics, men’s hormone health, gut health, and childhood neurodevelopmental concerns. He is a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner (CFMP) and completed advanced training through Functional Medicine University, where he developed strong expertise in evidence-based testing, clinical nutrition, and integrative therapeutic approaches.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Josh enjoys taking advantage of Colorado’s outdoors with his wife and two young sons. He spends his free time snowboarding, exercising, hiking, enjoying nature, and staying active.
